Enrolment Procedure

For children aged 2-3.5 years, Contact us to enroll today. 

We invite you to come and observe the class in action and ask any questions you may have. This really helps you to get a feel for how the classroom operates and to see our nurturing community culture. Contact us to arrange a day that suits you to observe 9.30-10am.

Waitlist families are invited to our whānau introductory evenings, where we give you a tour of the whole environment and answer any questions you may have. These are held in Term 1 and 4. Attendance at an introductory evening is compulsory before or soon after your child starts at Totara Hill Montessori. These evenings give you the opportunity to tour the center, meet staff, learn about the philosophy and ask questions. We will give you ideas to help ensure your child is ready to make a smooth transition to preschool. 

We offer waitlist parents the opportunity to attend a playgroup with their child, which is held on Wednesday mornings in the meeting room of the Matakana Hall 9-10.30am. This gives us a good opportunity to get to know each other before your child starts at Totara Hill.

The expectations we have of families who enroll is that they will attend our parent nights held four times a year, that they will work with us as we promote healthy eating, and whānau will embrace the philosophy of helping children achieve independence by giving them time and space to dress themselves and be involved in all aspects of family life.
