Enrolment Procedure

If you would like to put your child on our waiting list, please fill out a pre-enrolment form below, we recommend putting your child's name down before they turn one for more certainty of space availability. Currently a few people on our waitlist have left the area, so there is availability to put your child's name down at the moment if they are between 0-3.5 years old.

We invite you to come and observe the class in action and ask any questions you may have. Contact us to arrange a time to come to observe.

We will email you twice a year inviting you to our whānau introductory evenings, which are held in the first and last term. Attendance at an introductory evening is compulsory before your child can start at Totara Hill Montessori. These evenings give you the opportunity to tour the center, meet staff, learn about the philosophy and ask questions. We will give you ideas to help ensure your child is ready to make a smooth transition to preschool. 

We offer parents the opportunity to attend a playgroup with their child, as spaces allow from the waiting list, we expect a minimum of two terms involvement before enrolment. Attendance of the whānau introductory evening is a prerequisite to attending playgroup.

The expectations we have of families who enroll is that they will attend our parent nights held four times a year, that they will work with us as we promote healthy eating, and whānau will embrace the philosophy of helping children achieve independence by giving them time and space to dress themselves and be involved in all aspects of family life.
